Our doctor among the most recognized personalities in medicine 2026 in Forbes
Great news we are delighted to share with you. Purposeful professional work, long-term effort, and medical contribution have met with nationwide recognition. The professional community, the prestigious Forbes media, and the public have jointly honored physicians who are shaping the face of Slovak medicine — and we are immensely proud that among them is MediRad’s co-founder, MUDr. Vladimír Neuschl, PhD.

About the Forbes “Most Respected Figures in Medicine” ranking
Forbes annually compiles a list of physicians in Slovakia who combine professional reputation with real influence on the development of their field. This is not a popularity poll — the selection is made in collaboration with professional societies and considers publication activity, certifications, international memberships, leadership of departments, and contributions to Slovak medicine as a whole. This is precisely why it matters: a patient who seeks a doctor from this list can be sure that this is not a marketing-built brand, but a professional whose quality has been confirmed by colleagues.
The journey of MUDr. Vladimír Neuschl, PhD.
MUDr. Neuschl has been associated with radiology for over 25 years. He obtained his European certification in radiology as early as 2004, placing him among the first generation of Slovak radiologists with a European-recognized qualification standard. He has long led the musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology section of the Slovak Radiological Society, lectures at domestic and international congresses, and actively participates in the education of younger colleagues.
Professionally, he specializes in multimodal imaging of the musculoskeletal system — joints, muscles, tendons, and spine — and in interventional procedures under ultrasound and CBCT guidance. Thanks to his emphasis on sports radiology, MediRad has become a facility trusted by Slovak national teams, football and basketball clubs, and the National Sports Center.
What this means for radiology in Slovakia
Inclusion of a radiologist in the Forbes ranking is significant from the perspective of the entire field. Radiology was long perceived as a “support” discipline behind the scenes — a physician who describes images but rarely meets the patient. However, the last decade has fundamentally changed this role. The modern radiologist actively enters the diagnostic process, performs ultrasound directly with the patient, conducts navigated interventions (joint injections, biopsies), and stands on equal footing with orthopedists, neurosurgeons, and oncologists in treatment decisions.
Recognition of a professional who is advancing this modern form of radiology in Slovakia is therefore a signal that the field is moving in the right direction — toward diagnostics that are more precise, faster, and gentler on the patient.
Context: who made it into the Forbes 2026 ranking
This year’s selection includes names across surgical, internal, and diagnostic specialties — from oncologists and cardiothoracic surgeons to neurologists and radiologists. What they share is that, in addition to clinical practice, they influence the field systemically: leading professional societies, promoting new diagnostic procedures, and contributing to the creation of Slovak care standards. In this context, MUDr. Neuschl’s inclusion confirms that musculoskeletal and sports radiology has established itself in Slovakia as a full-fledged sub-specialty with its own influence on patient treatment.
What does this mean for MediRad patients
First, the practical aspect. The physician whom Forbes attributes with such a reputation is part of the center’s daily operations. Second readings of images, consultations on complex cases, and interventional procedures under CBCT or USG guidance — all of this takes place under his professional supervision. Even if another of our radiologists performs the examination itself, the patient gains the assurance that every result passes through our internal quality standard and that the experience of our radiologists is guaranteed.
For the MediRad team, this award is also a commitment. We continue what has defined us since our founding in 2021: accessibility of modern technologies, low radiation exposure (CBCT resolution 90 μm, doses several times lower than conventional CT), appointments without long waits, and explained results, with which the patient leaves understanding what is happening with their body.
Acknowledgments
We thank all patients, colleagues, partners from sports clubs and federations — the Slovak Football Association, FC Spartak Trnava, BK Inter Bratislava, the National Sports Center, and others — who have long trusted MediRad. This award belongs to you equally, because without your feedback and trust in Slovak diagnostics, modern radiology could not have advanced in Slovakia to where it is today.
Forbes 2026 delights us. Better diagnostics for the Slovak patient motivates us to continue.
