MediRad is moving to a new address. We are relocating from our original premises at Teslova 33 to Plynárenská 7C in the BBC5 building to offer you a wider range of imaging diagnostics and a more comfortable environment.
The move also involves expanding our portfolio of services. In the new premises, we are adding RTG (X-ray) examinations and expanding our 3D diagnostics with the state-of-the-art CBCT NewTom 7G.
CBCT (Cone Beam CT) is a modern form of CT with very high spatial resolution and, in many indications, a lower radiation dose compared to conventional CT, making it the ideal choice for detailed diagnosis of bone structures and the head and neck region.
The NewTom 7G will allow us to elevate ENT diagnostics, sinus examinations, and detailed assessment of anatomical conditions. We are also significantly expanding dental diagnostics. Thanks to the CBCT NewTom 7G, we will provide the highest quality dental diagnostics in Slovakia.
We will also place special emphasis on sports radiology and pediatric traumatology, meaning the diagnosis of injuries, overuse, and movement problems in athletes, as well as a sensitive and precise approach to pediatric examinations. This will also aid in detecting subtle, sometimes stress, bone fractures that are not detectable with standard X-ray examinations.
An important part of the changes is that we will perform MRI examinations with fast appointments, typically within 7 days. Our goal is for patients to access magnetic resonance imaging without unnecessary waiting.
Ultrasonographic diagnostics remains a key component of MediRad. Our offer includes USG of the abdomen, USG of the thyroid, USG of soft tissues of the neck, USG of the urinary tract, USG of the pelvis, USG of the musculoskeletal system, Doppler examinations of carotid arteries, arteries and veins of the limbs, radiological consultation, and comprehensive radiological examination with consultation.
We plan to open at the new address Plynárenská 7C (BBC5) in early June. We look forward to welcoming you in our new spaces!
